Try a Venice Carnival treasure hunt to discover the city's hidden treasures while playing. A fantastic route to discover the secrets of the city and this famous festivity!

Description

At the start of the game, you will be handed a map at the meeting point and the App downloaded onto your phone will become your compass and your personal digital storyteller, as it will tell you the secrets of the city and the Carnival festivities.

 

The game will accompany you through the city, leading you to unexplored corners and panoramic views. You will have to find at least 3 of the 4 hidden places and take photos to show the staff!

 

At the arrival point, in the Prisons' Palace in St Mark's Square, where Casanova was arrested you will have to enter the palace to collect your treasure: a white Venetian mask, which you will paint in a dedicated area with the suggestions of a professional painter.

 

The itinerary will introduce you to the city and the treasure will make you feel like a true protagonist of this iconic festival!

Things to know before leaving

  • The mask decoration activity is designed for a maximum of 15 people per group 
  • This tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility
  • Comfortable shoes are suggested 
  • Digital and printed vouchers are accepted (to be shown to the staff)
Meeting Point
  • Meeting Point: Campo San Gallo, San Marco 1093/B, Venice Tours office, close to San Marco Square. Please show up at the meeting point the day you choose to play to collect map and instructions.

            HOW TO REACH THE MEETING POINT

  • The office is located close to San Marco Square. Having the Basilica of San Marco behind you, stay on the right side of the square and go under the arches. Find Olivetti Museum, turn right passing under the archways, cross the little bridge and go straight on to “Campo San Gallo”, Venice Tours Office is located in the campo (small square).
Cancellation policies
  • No penalty for cancellation within 24 hrs before the tour. On line customer service 7 days a week, 9.30 am – 5.30 pm
  • The tour does not operate in case of exceptionally bad weather or exceptionally high/low tide (in these cases it will be rescheduled for the following day or refunded)
