Description

In a short introductory walking tour your tour guide will tell you the fascinating history of the gondola and the gondoliers! On board you will then learn all about the palaces, churches and attractions around you. You will also discover some of the tales known only to Venetians!

Hop aboard an authentic gondola and glide through the Grand Canal to the quiet of the most hidden and picturesque canals! Treat yourself to an unforgettable experience and let yourself be enchanted by the romantic views and enchanting atmosphere that only Venice can offer!

Along the way you will find the Venetian residence of the famous composer W. A. Mozart, the water entrance of the La Fenice Theatre and the Rio de le Ostreghe; you will cross part of the Grand Canal with its marvellous palaces, such as the building of the Peggy Guggenheim collection, the Punta della Dogana and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. In the distance you can enjoy a glimpse of the imposing Doge's Palace and the panoramic view of St Mark's basin.

At the end of the tour, you will receive a QR code to download a digital map with 2D images of Venice from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.  You can compare some of the most fascinating places and discover how they appeared in different eras compared to today. Imagine that the Rialto Bridge was once a drawbridge and the Doge's Palace was once an authentic medieval castle!

Lastly, experience a ride in a unique virtual reality at the Gondola Gallery and glide over the Grand Canal's tranquil waters at sunset over the centuries, and then discover the craftsmanship and secrets behind Venice's iconic boat with an up-close look at a sectioned model.
